Our story

Born in Texas. Famous in Riyadh.

Smokey Beard's Q is halal, wood-smoked barbecue founded by Mutah Beale with brothers Tony and Sonny Ramadani. Two continents, one pit philosophy: low, slow, and honest.

  1. The backyard

It started with friends and a smoker

Before it was a restaurant, it was a Texas backyard — close friends, a pit, and brisket smoked the way it should be. Tony Ramadani's technique is what everyone kept coming back for.

  2. 2018

    Texas BBQ lands in Riyadh

Mutah Beale tasted that brisket, saw what it could be, and opened Smokey Beard's Q in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It became known as the most authentic American BBQ in the Middle East.

  3. The name spreads

    A celebrity favorite

The Riyadh pit pulled in Mike Tyson, Kanye West, and Martin Lawrence. Word traveled fast: real wood, real smoke, no shortcuts, all halal.

  4. 2025

The pit comes home to Fort Worth

Smokey Beard's Q opened on East Belknap Street in north Fort Worth, in the space Tony ran for nineteen years. Texas BBQ, born in Texas, proven abroad, back where it belongs.
